Hey there everyone, welcome to the first CLB Nutrition blog. Over the coming months we will be dipping into good (and bad!) nutrition. I’m Clare and I’m the founder of CLB Nutrition,



and I'm dedicated to bringing you information to help you make good choices and food that’s both healthy and delicious. These blogs will help you make the changes you want – to guide and inspire you to feed your body to be its absolute healthiest


I will be telling you that there comes a moment in everyone’s life when you need to ‘choose your hard’. Yes, it’s hard to say no to delicious ready-to-eat foods. Yes it’s hard to break any kind of addiction. And yes it’s hard to shed excess weight. But so is dealing with the long term consequences of an unhealthy diet. The painful wear & tear on our joints, scary heart disease, life changing effects of long term medication. The choice is there for us, for us to choose our type of hard. And I’m right here to help and support you


So, month by month I’ll be taking you through the basics of healthy eating. How carbs aren’t always the enemy and how fiber is always your friend. How to get enough healthy protein into your meals, to embrace vitamin & mineral rich wholefoods and to shun refined junk food


In April we’ll look at the dangers of saturated fats. In May we’ll talk about ultra processed foods. Summertime will be the perfect time to look at the importance of good hydration and come autumn we’ll talk about how to tackle the change to a mega-healthy whole food, plant based way of eating


We will also be celebrating superfoods, getting to the bottom of tofu and setting you up for a dry January at the close of 2024 – so strap yourself in! It’ll be a fantastic journey - a journey to a happier, healthier, stronger you. With me to help you every step of the way
